The RG RX-93ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam has been one of the most sought-after model kits since its announcement in April 2021, and rightfully so! The calls for this kit have become a daily occurrence at hobby shops worldwide even after its official release! The RX-93ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam redesigns the ever-popular RX-93 Nu Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam Char’s Counterattack. The RX-93ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam has multiple versions, including a total redesign for the manga adaptation of Char’s Counterattack – Beltorchicka’s Children. Bandai used the best aspects from each design to create the ultimate Real Grade rendition. The tagline for the Real Grade line is “excitement embodied,” and the RG RX-93ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam delivers on that promise wholeheartedly.
Included alongside the RX-93ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam for accessories:
- Beam Rifle
- New Hyper Bazooka
- Shield
- Beam Saber x2
- Beam Saber Hilt
- Fin Funnel x6
Articulation –
In recent memory, every Real Grade model Bandai’s released has been better than the last, and the RX-93ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam certainly follows that trend. The RG RX-93ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam borrows a handful of parts from the RG #32 Nu Gundam, specifically the inner joint structure for the fin funnels and their white armor plating. Bandai has seemingly done away with using large, pre-molded inner frame segments to construct the Gundam itself to everyone’s delight! The lack of pre-molded parts and polycaps make the RX-93ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam as solid as can be with the power to strike any pose you please! Thanks to Bandai’s latest and greatest engineering technology, this model’s range of motion is out of this world! Even the individual mounts for the Fin Funnels articulate, allowing builders to spread out the funnels as if they are wings.
Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –
The RG RX-93ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam features a wrist-mounted Machine Gun in its right forearm. This weapon deploys via a sliding gimmick, so all you’ll need to do is reposition the arm to reveal the hidden firepower. Opposite the Machine Gun is an added Beam Saber hilt, which easily pops out from under its cover for last-minute deployment. The two standard Beam Sabers store right inside the RX-93ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam’s backpack binders for easy access. Unfortunately, the RX-93ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam cannot form a dual-bladed Beam Saber right out of the box, unlike its High Grade counterpart. However, the new molds for the Hi Nu’s Beam rifle put the HGUC variant to shame! Speaking of putting other model kits to shame, the RG RX-93ν2 Hi-Nu Gundam’s hatch-opening gimmicks are unrivaled, especially in the 1/144 scale.

Don’t get me wrong, I prefer the standard Nu but this looks great too, the only thing that bothers me is the size, a bit bigger for my taste.
