The RX-0 Full Armor Unicorn Gundam is a fearsome Federation Mobile Suit constructed by Anaheim Electronics and commissioned by the Earth Federation as a part of their “UC Project,” which sought the creation of powerful Psychoframe Mobile Suits to eliminate all Zeon remnants. The Unicorn Gundam was the first Mobile Suit to utilize Psychoframe components throughout its frame, granting it unrivaled performance. The abundance of Psychoframe parts within the Unicorn Gundam allows its pilot to use the Mobile Suit as an extension of their body rather than a piloted mech. The Full Armor Unicorn Gundam features a massive improvement in firepower, thanks to the addition of numerous weapons. The Full Armor Unicorn Gundam also sorties with two gigantic booster pods to negate the added weight of its equipment. Unlike previously conceived “Full Armor” Gundam variants, the Full Armor Unicorn Gundam does not include additional armor plating.

Articulation –

The SD Full Armor Unicorn Gundam borrows most of its construction from the previously released SD BB Senshi #360 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, showcasing the in-universe lineage that connects these two Mobile Suits! The SD BB Senshi is the longest-running Gunpla line in history, beginning in 1987 and still receiving new entries almost 40 years later! Each model in this line features a simple construction with basic articulation to create different poses. The SD Full Armor Unicorn Gundam features a simple transformation that allows its display in either Unicorn or Destroy Mode. Bandai provided a sheet of color-correcting stickers to help builders recreate the Mobile Suit’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the SD BB Senshi #390 Full Armor Unicorn Gundam with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking Decals. Top Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
