SD G Generation Zero #202 RX-78GP02A Gundam GP02A

$10.99

The RX-78GP02A Gundam Physalis was initially a prototype Mobile Suit constructed for the Earth Federation’s Gundam Development Project: a secret program devised to advance the Federation’s Mobile Suit technology after the One Year War. The Federation would task Anaheim Electronics with creating the Gundam Development Project Mobile Suits, with the RX-78GP02A Gundam Physalis receiving a significant amount of Zeon technology thanks to a team of ex-Zeon engineers working for Anaheim Electronics. Anaheim would design the RX-78GP02A Gundam Physalis specifically for wielding tactical nuclear weapons, as the prevalence of Minovsky particles on modern battlefields prevented the use of guided warheads. With traditional nuclear deterrents relegated to the past, the RX-78GP02A Gundam Physalis and its high-payload warhead became a profound threat to any opposers of the Federation. The RX-78GP02A Gundam Physalis features thick layers of Luna Titanium Armor spanning its body, with additional plating on the Mobile Suit’s torso to increase pilot survivability. This armor protects the RX-78GP02A Gundam Physalis from the effects of its nuclear weapons, as its blast radius almost encompasses the weapon’s maximum firing range. The Federation would never get to utilize this weapon of mass destruction during combat, as it fell into the hands of Neo Zeon Remnants during a surprise attack at the Federation’s Torrington Base.

Included alongside the SD GP02A Gundam for accessories:

Articulation
 –

The SD GP02A Gundam features an entirely new construction supported by an array of polycaps, as it was the first rendition of this Mobile Suit in the SD BB Senshi line! The SD BB Senshi is the longest-running Gunpla line in history, beginning in 1987 and still receiving new entries almost 40 years later! Each model in this line features a simple construction with basic articulation to create different poses. The SD Gundam GP02A’s Atomic Bazooka features a 2-stage assembly where the back half of the Bazooka attaches to the Mobile Suit’s backpack while the front half remains stored inside the Shield. Bandai provided a sheet of color-correcting stickers to help builders recreate the Mobile Suit’s on-screen appearance right out of the box!

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the SD G Generation Zero #202 RX-78GP02A Gundam GP02A with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
