Star Wars Tie Striker 1/72 Scale

The TIE Striker is one of the many TIE variants developed by Sienar Fleet Systems for the Empire. The TIE Striker’s streamlined silhouette and redesigned wings provide the fighter with superior atmospheric flight capabilities, far exceeding the performance of the standard TIE Fighter. The pilot of the TIE Striker can reorient the wings downward for an additional increase in performance. The TIE Striker appeared first in Rouge One: A Star Wars Story as a part of the Empire’s defenses on Scarif, where they held the plans for the Death Star amongst other highly-valuable Imperial projects. The TIE Striker’s extended fuselage could contain up to two crew members, a pilot, and an optional gunner to control the TIE Striker’s vast weapons package. The TIE Striker features four L-s9.3 Laser Cannons, two H-s1 Heavy Laser Cannons, and an assortment of proton bombs at its disposal. These armaments made the TIE Striker a profound threat to any combatants in the skies or on the ground.

Notable Attributes –

The TIE Striker is yet another excellent Star Wars model from Bandai, featuring wonderfully accurate detailing on each panel. There is even a cockpit interior recreated with molded detail and included waterslide/sticker decals to represent the display screens lining the interior walls within the TIE-Striker. This model only contains a single pilot figure and does not feature any interior space where the second crew member would sit. Builders can switch the TIE Striker from flight mode to attack mode by changing the position of its wings, just like in the movie! The TIE Striker includes two green blaster effects, which fit right into the two L-s9.3 Laser Cannons mounted underneath the viewport or the pair at the end of each wing. Bandai provided two options for the viewport, one made from clear plastic for painting and one comprised of only framing, giving a clear view of the detailed interior of the TIE Striker.
