RG #27 RX-0 [N] Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn

The Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn is the updated version of the Banshee showcased in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. The initial appearance of the Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee was almost identical to its sister suit, the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, except for a different color scheme and additional armaments. The Banshee Norn features further improvements to the platform, adding the new Armed Armor DE and XC. The Armed Armor XC attaches to the Banshee Norn’s back and unfurls when the Mobile Suit enters Destroy Mode. This equipment amplifies Banshee’s power output and allows pilots without Newtype abilities to use the built-in NT-D System, similar to the n_i_t_r_o system installed in the MSN-001X Gundam Delta Kai. The Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn’s golden collar and deployed Armed Armor XC resemble the mane of a lion, specifically the Lion present in the famous 15th century French tapestries La Dame à la licorne (The Lady and the Unicorn), which appear during the series.

Articulation –

The RG RX-0 [N] Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn is one of many early Real Grade models utilizing pre-molded inner frame pieces in its assembly. These parts combine hard and soft plastics to create large movable joint sections, to which builders apply additional frame pieces and armor over the pre-molded parts. The RG Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn uses twice as many pieces as its High Grade counterpart, providing greater color accuracy on the 1/144th scale. The Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn uses the MS Joint System from the RG #25 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam molded in gray and transparent gold to recreate the activated Psychoframe. The RG Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn is the only 1/144 scale rendition of this iconic design to feature a transformation into Destroy Mode! Bandai provided detailed instructions showcasing all the necessary steps to transform the model, which does not require the use of additional pieces.

Each armament features updated designs loaded with surface detail without straying from the silhouette of the source material. These weapons feature the same excellent color separation as the Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn, providing some of the best-looking 1/144 scale weapons Bandai has ever made! The Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn includes the same Beam Magnum as its sister suit, only featuring an underbarrel Revolving Launcher loaded with different weapons. One of these weapons is a Beam Jutte, which projects a beam blade to deflect incoming Beam Saber attacks when the standard Beam Sabers are inaccessible.
