RG #34 MSN-02 Zeong

$66.99

The MSN-02 Zeong is one of many Mobile Suits used by Principality of Zeon Ace, Char Aznable, during the One Year War. Char sortied in the Zeong for the first and only time during the Battle of A Baoa Qu while the Mobile Suit was still in an incomplete state. The most notable omission from Zeong’s silhouette is the lack of Mobile Suit legs, which do not affect the Mobile Suit’s performance in space. In place of the gigantic legs designed for the Zeong, the Mobile Suit features an array of articulated thrusters beneath its skirt armor to improve flight characteristics in space. The MSN-02 Zeong was the first Mobile Suit to utilize wire-guided Psycommu weapons. With these weapons, Newtype pilots like Char Aznable could perform ranged and close quarters attacks using just their thoughts to manipulate the Psycommu-equipped weapons. The Zeong could also operate with the same efficiency using two Oldtype pilots, one to control the Mobile Suit and another to operate the weaponry.

Included alongside the MSN-02 Zeong for accessories:

  • Landing Gear x3
  • Action Base Adapter
  • Action Base
  • Display Arm x2

Articulation –

The RG Zeong is one of many early Real Grade models utilizing pre-molded inner frame pieces in its assembly. These parts combine hard and soft plastics to create large movable joint sections, to which builders apply additional frame pieces and armor over the pre-molded parts. Only Zeong’s manipulators use pre-molded pieces in their assembly, providing a super easy build and color-accurate recreation of the original design. The RG Zeong uses twice as many pieces as its High Grade counterpart, providing greater color accuracy on the 1/144th scale. All seven of Zeong’s bottom thrusters articulate individually, allowing builders to create dynamic flying poses effortlessly! The RG Zeong’s Builders can also remove Zeong’s head from the torso, recreating Char’s final escape during the Battle of A Baoa Qu.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

Each armament features updated designs loaded with surface detail without straying from the silhouette of the source material. These weapons feature the same excellent color separation as the Zeong, providing some of the best-looking 1/144 scale weapons Bandai has ever made! The Zeong is on the short list of Mobile Suits that do not use handheld weaponry. The sheer size of the Zeong’s frame allowed Zeon designers to cram a total of twelve Mega Particle Cannons, one in the waist, one in the head, and ten between both manipulators. The Zeong could use this assortment of weapons to engage multiple targets simultaneously, or strike down a single foe in an incredible blast!

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the MSN-02 Zeong with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
