The Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth is the final version of the X-1 showcased in the Mobile Suit Crossboone Gundam: Steel 7 manga series. A longwinded battle with the Jupiter Empire left the XM-X1 Crossbone Gundam X-1 “Patchwork” in a heavily damaged state, forcing the Steel 7 Team to use all of their remaining Crossbone Gundam parts to create the X-1 Full Cloth. The Full Cloth armor combines Anti-Beam Coated armor plating with an array of thrusters, providing the Mobile Suit with impressive offensive and defensive capabilities. Mounted to the Mobile Suit’s shoulders are a set of I-field generators shaped like skulls! This equipment provides the X-1 Full Cloth with additional protection from incoming Beam fire. The Skull Head units can also attach to the Mobile Suit’s arms, appearing like gigantic skull-shaped boxing gloves!

Included alongside the Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth for accessories:

  • Peacock Smasher
  • Muramasa Blaster
  • Beam Zanber
  • Buster Gun
  • Beam Saber x2
  • Heat Dagger x2
  • Beam Shield Effect
  • Brand Marker Effect x2
  • Screw Whip
  • Chain for Scissor Anchor

The MG Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth features an almost-complete inner frame with a functioning cockpit. The Mobile Suits torso features a small number of frame pieces, leaving plenty of room for the models functioning core fighter gimmick. This fighter/support vehicle carries the Crossbone Gundam’s iconic X-shaped boosters and fits snugly into the docking port on the Mobile Suit’s back, safely encasing the pilot. The MG Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth provides builders a modern range of motion despite releasing well over a decade ago, as it features double jointed limbs and swiveling thighs.

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes

The Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth includes a wide assortment of weaponry designed for long-range and close-combat use. The Full Cloth’s most exciting armament, the Peacock Smasher, is a nine-barreled beam rifle shaped like a crossbow. The Crossbone can change the position of the barrels to target multiple enemies or a single target, with the option to fire each beam individually or simultaneously. The Muramasa Blaster is the Mobile Suit’s primary melee weapon despite its name. This weapon features fifteen Beam Emitters (which thankfully don’t require individual effect parts) for an insane display of cutting power. The emitter at the tip of this weapon can alternatively fire beam projectiles, giving the device its name.

Description

By implementing the technique of Top Coating, you can do a great deal to help preserve the longevity of your models. This process will protect the original plastic of your model kit and prepare it for any additional modeling techniques to follow.

You can drastically improve your results by making the details pop on the Crossbone Gundam X-1 Full Cloth with Panel Lining. The simplest solution for this is Gundam Markers or Tamiya Panel Line Fluid. Making your own panel wash is always a great option too! It is always recommended to Topcoat with clear gloss beforehand, as some of the products commonly used for Panel Lining will degrade the untreated plastics over time.

Another way to keep adding detail is by applying Stickers/Marking DecalsTop Coating before application will help decals stick to the surface much better. Using Top Coat after application will help hide the seams on traditional sticker decals as well as waterslides. This additional step will also keep them from peeling over time. Using Decals is a great way to add an even greater level of detail to your scale models.
