The GF13-017NJII God Gundam is the titular Mobile Suit from Mobile Fighter G Gundam, which takes place in a new Gundam Universe centered around a global fighting tournament instead of the typical conflict between Earth and the Space Colonies. Each competing nation duels with unique Mobile Fighters, fighting each other in one-on-one battles until a single Gundam remains standing. The victorious nation is granted rule over all of Earth’s space colonies for four years until the next Gundam Fight begins. Neo Japan developed the GF13-017NJII God Gundam alongside the GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam for use during the final round of the Gundam Fight. God Gundam saw early deployment after a surprise battle with the G-10 JDG00X Devil Gundam almost destroyed the Shining Gundam. The GF13-017NJII God Gundam outperforms the Shining Gundam in all aspects. Even in Super Mode, the Shining Gundam cannot compete with the God Gundam in its standard configuration. The GF13-017NJII God Gundam and its pilot utilize martial arts techniques to combat other Mobile Fighters, only featuring a handful of built-in weapons and a pair of Beam Sabers. The GF13-017NJII God Gundam also retains the Shining Gundam’s Core Lander gimmick, providing the pilot with speedy transportation during this global event.

Articulation –

The RG GF13-017NJII God Gundam is one of many Real Grade models utilizing pre-molded inner frame pieces in its assembly. These parts combine hard and soft plastics to create large movable joint sections, to which builders apply additional frame pieces and armor over the pre-molded parts. The RG GF13-017NJII God Gundam uses twice as many pieces as its High Grade counterpart, providing much greater color accuracy on the 1/144th scale. The RG GF13-017NJII God Gundam uses significantly fewer pre-molded parts than previous Real Grade releases, only utilizing them to create the Mobile Suit’s forearms and shoulders. The RG God Gundam is all about the posability! The announcement of this model kit included countless renders of the God Gundam showcasing iconic moves and poses from the anime with ease!

Weapons and Other Notable Attributes –

The God Gundam is very light on handheld weaponry, only including a pair of Beam Sabers stored inside its side skirt armor. The RG God Gundam comes with an assortment of metallic orange hands to represent the iconic God Finger attack! Bandai also provided a set of halo rings mounted to a transparent clear adapter to recreate the activation of Hyper Mode!
